Group Classes
Our group classes are taught using force free methods and can be great for dogs who are ready to deal with the distractions of other dogs, or those who need the social structure.
With the exception of the “Out and About” class, all other classes meet at Rocco’s Pack Dog Training.
- Each class meets on a specific day and time
- Classes are either 4 or 6 weeks
- Classes are offered in the daytime and evening
- All classes are for 1 hour
- Only regular buckle or snap collars or harnesses.
- Only fixed length leashes.
- All puppies and dogs must be up to date on all required vaccinations based on their age and booster schedule
- All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- BYOT Bring your own treats
Beginner Classes
Puppy Socialization and Obedience
For puppies 5 months and under, is one of the best things you can do for your puppy and your family. We cover biting, chewing, basic household obedience, which includes “sit”, “down”, “sit-stay”, “down-stay”, “leave it”, “come” and more. Class is held indoors and all puppies MUST have a clean health record but DO NOT have to be fully vaccinated. Most recent vaccination record is required to enroll. You may enroll on a “per class or “per series” basis. Class is scheduled on an ongoing open enrollment basis.
Basic Socialization and Obedience
This class covers sit, down, sit-stay, down-stay, come, leave it and lots more. It is a beginner class for dogs 5 months or older with no previous obedience or for dogs who have only had experience training at home without the presence of other dogs. Class takes place inside AND outside our facility. Class is offered on an ongoing, open enrollment basis. You may enrol on a “per class” or “per series” basis. Must show proof of recent vaccination upon enrollment.
Intermediate Classes
Leash Manners
Class is offered on an ongoing, open enrollment format, this means you can join in at any time, but enrollment requires a series of four classes. Class is offered on Thursdays at 11am and Sundays at 12pm. Walking on a leash is an important aspect of you and your dog’s life and wellness routine. This class teaches you how to drive the walks, using techniques based on “loose leash” and “heeling”. This makes walks WAY better for both YOU and your DOG.
Rocket Recall
Class is offered on Thursdays at 10am and Sundays at 1pm. If you know the importance of a solid recall cue, you know the value of this class. . Don’t miss out. We have a weekday and weekend classes to suit your availability! Class is offered on an ongoing, open enrollment format. Join in at any time, but enrollment requires a series of four classes.
Advanced Classes
Out N’ About
This class is offered on Thursdays at 7PM and meets at a different location each week. Enrollment requires a series of four classes. This is an advanced class and in order to PAWticipate, your dog must have completed puppy class and BOTH of the topic classes, “Leash Manners” AND “Rocket Recall”.
Tricks
Class is offered on Thursdays at 1pm and Sundays at 2pm. If you have a dog that LOVES to train and you’ve completed either the “Puppy” or “Basic Obedience” class, you’re eligible for this class. We’ll cover “high five”, “spin”, “rollover” and much more!
